Over worked body accumulated too much waste product (CO2 and lactic acid, for example on muscle after exercise) that need rest to remove by blood circulation. When more blood circulation happened in the body, there were less blood circulation in the brain and sleepiness crept in as active brain needs more oxygen and nutrients. Taking coffee could stimulate the brain for a short while but will not last because the fundamental reason for fatigue is still there. So, take a short rest is a better solution. ... |
